FTP with Netscape
If you have Netscape Navigator 2.0 or higher, you can access your home directory without any
other type of program. Follow these simple steps to getting your home page onto the Web.
- In Netscape, press the OPEN button
- In the blank provided, type ftp://username@www2.netdoor.com
- Netscape will then prompt you for a password. Enter your login password here.
- When the directory tree comes up, you will be in / which is now your home directory
- Select File, then Upload File...
- Select the file you want to upload and click Open...
That's all there is. This is very useful for adding new pages to an
already existing web site, as there is no way to rename a file you are
uploading.
