Netscape is unable to locate the server

The information in this article applies to:

• Netscape Communicator 4.0 through 4.5 on all platforms.

CAUSE

If you get an error where Netscape can not locate the mail server, it may be because:

• You are not connected to the Internet. Make sure you are connected to Netdoor before trying to retrieve your email.
• You don't have to correct mail server listed in the incoming and/or outgoing mail server fields.

RESOLUTION

1. Click on Edit, select Preferences
2. Click on Mail and Newsgroups.
3. Click on Mail Servers.

You mail server is mail.netdoor.com. If it is not listed, you should add it, or edit your entry so that it is.
