| How to Manually Setup Connection to NetdoorThe information in this article applies to:
 ImportantNetdoor provides this documentation as a support tool for customers choosing to manually setup their connection to Netdoor. 
Manually configuring your connection entitles you to limited technical support, such as the necessary host information needed and suggestions.
In order to receive full technical support, we require that customers have a copy of our free  Netdoor Advantage Pack CD.
 The following pages contain image maps of what your Windows 98 configuration should look similar to when it is properly configured for use with Netdoor.  You can click on each image as if you were looking at your own settings.  In this way you can choose which settings you wish to examine. To check or change these settings double click the My Computer icon, double click Dial-Up Networking, right mouse click on the Netdoor icon, and then select Properties. Make sure you have your Windows 98 CD with you.  You may be prompted for it.Click Start, Settings, then Control PanelDouble click NetworkThe two network components necessary for your Netdoor connection are DialUp Adapter and TCP/IP.  Remove any unnecessary network components.  If you are uncertain about removing some of the network components, always ask first.Select TCP/IP and click PropertiesYou will receive a warning message, click OKOn the IP Address tab, you should have Obtain an IP Automatically selectedClick on the WINS Configuration tab.
