- Select the type of modem that is installed in your computer from the drop down list titled Modem.
There should only be one modem listed. - Select the port that your modem is connected to from the drop down list titled Port. Usually you should have Modem Port selected.
- Place a dot next to Tone for the type of dialing.
- Do not place a tick next to Ignore dial tone.
- Click the right hand arrow at the bottom right corner of the window.
